Vikarbyn is a charming village by Lake Siljan in the heart of Dalarna, Sweden. It’s known for its red cottages, lakeside views, and traditional Swedish atmosphere – the perfect setting for a wedding celebration. We’re so excited to share this beautiful part of Sweden with you!
Traveling options
✈️ KLM & SAS flies directly to Stockholm daily.
🚗 It's about a 3h drive from Stockholm. Hertz and Europcar rental cars are available at Arlanda Airport.
🚅 There's also trains going Rättvik, a neighbouring village. It takes between 3-4h from Stockholm. From there it's only 8 minutes with the bus to Vikarbyn.

We'd love to see you & hang out before our big day! You're welcome from 17:00 in the garden at Backlunds Bed & Breakfast.
Good to know
Around 18:00 we'll fire up the grill with hamburgers, sausages and light drinks! There's a pizzeria close by if you fancy something different!
Don't forget your swim clothes for a dip in the lake 💦

Saturday - Arrival to Persborsbrygga
Historically, Persborgs brygga was built as a steamboat pier with a cold bathhouse in the early 1900s. From the parking it's only a a short walk.

We gather on the dock for the ceremony. Please get seated a few minutes early.

Dinner
A seated dinner will be served at the historic steamboat pier. Expect great food and good vibes!
